It’s Fiction Friday again!
This week we’re talking about a book titled ‘Let It Snow’, which was written in three parts by three different authors; Maureen Johnson, John Green and Lauren Myracle.
Each of the stories could stand alone, but they twist and tangle together, and show the reader how life really does overlap. Set at Christmas time, this book is perfect for you if you love the holiday season, and are interested in a bit of romance.
All of the main characters in this book are teenagers, and they bah as such. Each of the authors who worked on the novel are brilliant at writing realistic adolescents, and their individual styles and quirks shine through in their writing.
Overall, this was a great book, and could be enjoyed by a lot of different people, it was interesting to watch the way in which the author’s worked together, and yet still had such separate storylines, and how they utilised each others ideas to tie each section together with the others. I imagine that this process was just as interesting (and probably a little more challenging!) in writing as it was in reading.
If you’ve read the book, plan to read it, or if maybe this post has encouraged you to give it a try, do be sure to let me know what you think!
